While my main focus with my photography is always on birds and other animals, I do really enjoy taking photos of different plants and flowers. Normally my garden has plants that I just buy from stores like Tractor Supply or Runnings, but this year I wanted to try something new and plant most of my flowers from seed. My selection of seeds were for nasturtium, marigolds, sunflowers, and zinnias. I had a lot of different varieties of each seed that I’ve accumulated over the years, with the intention of growing them but never committing. I honestly had really great success, and feel really proud of what I was able to grow myself! I started my seeds indoors, around the end of March, early April. This led me to start having blooms in May, and everything is continuing to grow beautifully. My personal favorite are the nasturtium, and zinnia. I had some really beautiful colors, and they made for some really stunning photography.
