My feeders have been pretty barren for most of the summer. Near the middle of June, everything sort of disappeared. This can be due to a lot of different reasons, but it makes things a little dreary at the feeding station. The only really consistent visitors I had, were unexpectedly the hummingbirds. So really I’m just using this as an excuse to post all of the hummingbirds photos I’ve been taking, since it’s been a lot. I really had some great opportunities to improve on getting those wings in focus and perfectly frozen in the frame. It takes the perfect conditions and a quick hand, but I think I have had some great success.

I have slowly had a few other birds returning, the main one being the Blue Jay. They always know how to make their presence known and when they’re out of peanuts.
